We work a lot with medieval recipes, including our jam or now (due to Agar Agar) fruit
spread "Mirabella". The recipe was originally made with cherry plums, blackberries and apples, but to make it more
Croatian I used Slavonian white plums (bijelice or ceričanke), petrovka apples and our blackberries.
Since we don't spray, we can use all the fruit peels as well, and to anyone who knows petrovka apples, bijelice and
unsprayed blackberries, it is clear what an intense aroma goes into the product from this fruit. Furthermore, we cook
the spread for just 3 minutes, using only 10-25% sugar, without preservatives or gelatine. The result is a
more intense flavour and fruit goodness. Once opened, the product should be consumed as soon as possible as it is treated like fresh fruit. Contains 90% fruit.
FLAVOUR AND USE:
As you know, every cheese has its jam and wine that enhances its flavour. This combination suits
95% of cheeses, making this fruit spread interesting for gourmets and winemakers alike. Children love it too —
usually a parent buys one jar, and then 10 jars the next day. It is also suitable for vegans as it contains no
gelatine.
The analysis was conducted 3 years ago and again this year.
