The Kordia cherry is a popular variety known for its large, dark red fruit that often turns almost black when fully ripe. The fruit is very juicy, firm and crunchy, with a rich and sweet flavour. This variety originates from the Czech Republic and is a favourite due to its resistance to splitting and long shelf life. Kordia cherry trees are moderately vigorous, with a broad canopy, and begin bearing fruit mid-season, usually in late June or early July. The Kordia variety is also disease-resistant, making it suitable for growing in various climates.
