Honeydew honey is a type of honey that does not originate from floral nectar, but from plant juices in the deeper layers of plants that bees cannot reach under normal conditions. Aphids damage leaves and young twigs, releasing sweet plant juices. The excess that aphids cannot process appears as honeydew, which bees then collect.
Honeydew honey is rich in minerals, making it excellent for human health.
It is often used to relieve cold and flu symptoms, given its antibacterial properties.
It is also known for its ability to improve digestion and reduce inflammation.
