Ingredients:

Whole spelt flour (OPG Mario Leventić) - 500g
Eggs (OPG Pavlović) - 3 pcs
Milk (OPG Božić) - 0,25 dl
Sugar - 9 tbsp
Vanilla sugar - 1 sachet
Baking powder - 1 sachet
Oil - 1 dl
Lemon (zest) - 1 pc

Preparation:

Whip the egg whites into stiff peaks, then gradually add the sugar while beating continuously. Mix in the egg yolks one by one, and finally add the flour mixed with baking powder, grated lemon zest, milk, and oil. Preheat the waffle maker, then ladle a scoop into the center of the machine. When you lower the top plate, the batter will spread nicely throughout the iron. While baking, you will notice that the waffles are crispy, but once you bake them all and let them cool slightly, place them in metal tins so they soften up. You can store them in tins for a long time.

Bon appétit! 🍽️
