Prepare all the ingredients. Finely chop the onion and garlic and sauté them in a little oil. When the onion is translucent, add the carrot and parsley root, pour in a splash of water and cook like that for about 10 minutes. Trim the stems off the collard greens and Napa cabbage and slice into ribbons or as desired.

Boil 1.5L of water in a kettle. Add the potatoes, collard greens, and cabbage to the pot, pour over the boiled water, stir, and simmer for about 15 minutes.

Add the prepared parsley, celery, paprika, and salt to taste. Cook for another 15 minutes or so, stirring occasionally. Finally, add a pinch of love and the dish is perfectly seasoned 🙂

You will know the dish is done when the potatoes and carrots are completely tender and the central rib on the cabbage is soft. If your grandma made you homemade pasta like ours did, add it to the dish.
We like it spicy, so paired with this stew was Jalapeno plum sauce
